It sure has been a pleasure to be visiting so many delicious establishments over these past few years. Today Gary and the team had a hankering for some fish tacos—so it’s high time we came in and talked some story with Brian Henry and Coconut’s Fish Café, the #1 place for fish tacos on the Valley Isle, and quite possible in the entire country!
With eleven years and counting in business, Coconut’s was actually the brainchild of one Michael Phillips, who, amazingly, could not locate a fish burger to his liking in the early 2000s here on the island. A passion was ignited to solve this heinous conundrum, gifting kama’aina and tourists alike one of the most outstanding eateries to be found anywhere in the world. Their fish tacos have been nationally ranked as one of the very best in the entire U.S., and with good reason: their double-fish tacos, bursting with 17 ingredients and 7 layers of flavor, have been a fan favorite since the moment they were introduced onto the menu (not to mention Gary’s standing order for as long as we can remember).
With two stores on Maui, as well as a food truck up in Kahului, Coconut’s Fish Café is sure to satisfy your next hankering for ono grindz here on the island. Do yourself a favor and be sure to stop on into one of their locations soon—take it from us, you won’t regret it!
