Thankfully, the GM Maui Group offices are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from one of the world’s most pristine and sought-after snorkel destinations at gorgeous Ahihi Bay in Makena! Just down the way from Secret Beach and Big Beach, this beautiful enclave is home to both some very famous snorkeling and a few very famous residents, including one Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, whose house is literally just next door.
Go ahead and park in the lot just up the road from here, grab your gear, and get ready for an underwater adventure! Just be sure to give our honu friends a safe distance—it’s the law, after all—and also don’t forget to only pack your reef-safe sunscreen, which is now the law in Maui County. Finally, a tip to help both you and the ‘aina: don’t walk on the coral when wading into the water! Just let yourself go gently horizontal and swim your way out to take in all the spectacular scenes under the sea.
Oh, and before we forget—if you’re looking to settle down in lovely Makena, be sure and bring your checkbook, as you won’t find any homes in the immediate area under around $20 million or so. Good think you know the team to go with to broker just such a deal here in paradise, huh!
